Working with Spirits

The spirits we bind come ready to work with you. You do not have to perform any special invocations or rituals in order to work with them; unless otherwise specified. The spirits we bind are fully vetted and desire companionship with a Keeper. They are ready to be welcomed to your home, for you to create a friendship with them, and start as a new companion in your keep. We always provide a general description of what the race of spirit is generally like and what they all share in common. Then we provide a description of what the particular spirit in this listing is like; any individual details and what they may possess in addition to their race's general powers/abilities/gifts/behaviors.

Here are some tips & ideas for starting your journey with your spirit companions.

Welcome Home Take a moment to welcome your spirit companions home.  They chose you & to be part of your family, so a moment to welcome them, share your thoughts & ideas, and let them know how much you appreciate them is a great first step.  If you have something in your home you're particularly proud of, or you just want to show them around the house, you should do anything you feel is right.   If you like to have a little "Welcome Home" ceremony for your spirits, that's fine too.

They choose to be with you, they want to be with you, and they will support and back you throughout your daily life & your supernatural journey.  Spirit Keeping is a unique and powerful path that accents and supports you in all aspects of your life.  Spirit Keeping is about exploring the connections between the Earthen world and the Astral & Spiritual Realms - creating a powerful experience that accentuates and strengthens your personal needs, magickal gifts, supernatural abilities, and evolution.  Spirit Keeping is a bolster of your the spiritual gifts, your destiny & faith, and how you can be more invested in your joys in life.  Spirits who actively choose to be part of Spirit Keeping are doing so of their own free will, they want to be part of your life, and they choose to be part of your life journey.  They want to help you live & experience the best possible life - guiding you to be your greatest, to love & appreciate yourself, and experience the fun of life.

There are endless ways for you to communicate and interact with your spirit companions.  

	Out Loud You can speak & communicate with your spirits by speaking out loud.  If you are more comfortable being vocal, you should be.  You can share random thoughts, give spirits tasks, communicate group messages to multiple spirits, or just have a moment of one-on-one time with a spirit companion.
	Telepathy If you feel more comfortable communicating with your spirit companions through thoughts, you can engage them via telepathy.  You can direct your telepathic messages to a specific spirit companion, communicate with multiple spirits, or interact with your entire keep. * This is the most common, and most recommended, form of spirit communication.
	Pendulum If you feel comfortable using a pendulum, you can employ your favorite pendulum to help you facilitate communication and interaction with your spirit companions.  Pendulum can be used as simply as yes/no answers, or you can also use a spirit board, communication board, or Ouija board.  You can speak to a specific spirit companion, a group of companions, or your entire keep.  Be clear and focused when asking questions.
	Communication Board Whether you use a planchette or pendulum, you can employ a communication board, Ouija board, or spirit board to communicate with your spirit companions.  You should be clear and concise in your questions or inquiries.  You can communicate with a single spirit companion, or you can engage a group of spirits, or your entire keep.
	Tarot Cards You can use Tarot Cards to communicate with your spirits and have them guide the cards to reveal revelations and insight you need with a situation, issue, or question.  Tarot Cards can be great as single-card questions, or you can utilize multi-card layouts for more in-depth communication with your spirit companions.  You can communicate with a single spirit companion, or you can engage a group of spirits, or your entire keep.
	Automatic Writing When you work with automatic writing, you should have a large sheet of paper to use, and use a writing instrument with plenty of ink.  Start in the center of the paper, and have your hand relaxed.  Ask your question with clear intent (out loud or via telepathy), and allow the spirits to guide your hand.  If you want to initiate the automatic writing process, you can start by drawing circles & allow the spirits to move your hand from that point.  You can communicate with a single spirit companion, or you can engage a group of spirits, or your entire keep.
	Scrying You can work with scrying through a crystal ball, or through scrying water, to communicate with your spirits.  They can reveal visions, intuitive thoughts, and guidance through the crystal ball, or scrying waters.  The communication may come through telepathic message or feelings.  You should have a relaxed gaze when working with scrying, allowing your spirit companions to communicate in a way that best suits the situation or question.  You can engage a single spirit, multiple spirits, or your entire keep through scrying.

We have been doing this a very long time and one of our original goals when we opened the first Spirit Keeping website was to make sure Spirit Keepers would be able to work and interact with the spirits they brought home without having to go through long, tedious, or complicated invocation ceremonies or rituals.
